Design Wavelength and Coating Bands
Read the design wavelength and coating specification as separate fields. For example, the catalog lists some aspheric lenses with a specific design wavelength, while coated variants may list an average-reflectance requirement over a wavelength band.
Keep the stated measurement
A coating value written as average reflectance is retained as average reflectance. It is not relabeled as a transmission guarantee. Review the wavelength range, inequality and percentage exactly as listed for the selected model.
Confirm missing conditions
If incidence angle, polarization conditions, a transmission curve or a laser damage threshold is not provided, include that requirement in your quotation request. A material name or a coating band alone does not supply those missing specifications.
Check units
Pay attention to the unit attached to each wavelength value. Model-specific information and any confirmation notes take priority when choosing a component for an application.
